“‘We Are York’ is a community engagement activation, now taking place in St Sampson’s Centre (Church St. YO1 8BE) on Saturday 18th October 2025. As a gesture of goodwill, Make It York offered to support. North Yorkshire Police will be present on the Saturday (at Parliament Street 10.30am-12.30pm) as a way of communicating with residents and visitors to listen and support all communities. Community groups who wanted to book a stall, free of charge, and raise awareness for their cause have also been approached.
Make It York stands firmly against all forms of hate and racism and welcomes all communities to our city. This is not a Make It York event, though, we do support all stakeholders where we can.”
