MEDIA STATEMENT

Sean Bullick, the Managing Director of Make It York, has left the organisation. 

Sean, who joined Make It York two years ago, has decided that the time is right for him to move onto a new challenge. 

He said “I have enjoyed my two years as MD of Make It York but I have decided it’s time to take on a new challenge. Of course running an organisation like Make It York during the pandemic has been difficult and in particular I’d like to thank all my colleagues for the support they have given me.” 

Greg Dyke, Chair of Make It York said: “We thank Sean for the contribution he has made to Make It York over the past two years and wish him well. In the short term I will be spending more time on Make It York business. This will include chairing the weekly management group meetings.”

Make It York’s purpose is to develop and promote the city and its surroundings – nationally and internationally – as a vibrant and attractive place to live, visit, study, work and do business.  The company’s remit covers leisure and business tourism, city centre management, festivals and events, business support and inward investment. 

One of Make It York’s strategic aims is to promote York as a brilliant place to do business, helping to support business growth and innovation across a range of business sectors, such as financial & professional services, rail and high value manufacturing and to stimulate greater inward investment.
