This year's festival takes place 18-28 April. The full programme will be available at yorkshakes.co.uk - if there is a show or event on the programme that interests you and your students? Let us know!

Our existing offers during the festival are below:

-Shakespeare Storytelling - this bite-sized, full-of-fun workshop is great for primary aged children. Short, in school workshops featuring creative, engaging re-tellings of Shakespeare's plays are available and can be organised on any days between 18-28 April. Email skylar@parrabbola.co.uk for more info and to express your interest

-Personal Identity through Othello - this is an exploration for students over the age of 13, available only on 22nd and 23rd April. Debra Ann Byrd (founder of the Harlem Shakespeare Festival) uses Othello to discuss her life. This workshop can contain a short performance from her original show, Becoming Othello, alongside exercises around using Shakespeare to tell different stories. Student tickets are also available for Debra Ann Byrd's performance at the York St John Creative Centre Auditorium on 25th April at 11:30am.
