The Guildhall project will deliver a once in a generation refurbishment and redevelopment of one of York’s most historically significant collections of buildings. The centre of civic and commercial life for centuries, the Guildhall will be rejuvenated, to continue with its civic function, and to offer high quality office and event space, ideal as an early stage business location.
Redevelopment work on the project is scheduled for completion in summer 2021, with the site available for occupancy by December 2021.
In close proximity to York Station and York’s wider transport network, the Guildhall will provide businesses with physically and digitally well-connected, flexible and modern space to thrive and expand. Up to 1,300m2 of serviced office, flexible co-working, collaborative touch down space and dedicated business lounges will be provided to suit the demands of early stage and high growth businesses.
The Guildhall, council chamber and principal meeting rooms will offer further space for flexible events, meeting rooms, exhibition and conferencing space available for tenants’ use and independent hire.
With its contemporary flexible office format, city centre location and next level digital connectivity, the redevelopment project is set to secure the Guildhall’s place at the heart of York’s economic, business, community and civic life.
